Eagle Mountain Homes
Defining the Boundaries
Eagle Mountain is a 649-acre luxury golf community, located at the southwest corner of Fountain Hills, south of Shea Blvd.
It was the first master-planned golf community in Fountain Hills and the neighborhoods were designed to showcase the panoramic views of the surrounding Sonoran Desert.

The approximately 1,000 homeowners in the Eagle Mountain area enjoy a gated community comprised of single family homes and townhouses. There is a Homeowners Association and a monthly fee is assessed to cover maintenance of the common areas and amenities. Many stunning homes in this area have mountain/city lights vistas or fantastic golf course views. There are still parcels of land available for custom builds. Most of the homes here were built within the last 20 years; there's no "cookie cutter" feel to this community like you might find is the norm in other cities and town in the Valley of the Sun. There are several resorts in Fountain Hills where you can experience the unique lifestyle that Fountain Hills residents enjoy every day. Locals from other Greater Phoenix communities will plan staycations here, and visitors will find the area convenient to both outdoor activities like hiking and watersports, as well as being close to all the dining, shopping and nightlife that Scottsdale has to offer. One of the most popular of these resorts is The Inn at Eagle Mountain. South of Sunridge Canyon and just off Shea Blvd., The Inn at Eagle Mountain boasts a superior golf experience at the Eagle Mountain Golf Club. The par-71, 6800-yard course is scenic and challenging. Designed by Scott Miller, the course includes desert views, rolling hills, and natural box canyons. With a trio of golf courses in Fountain Hills — Eagle Mountain, SunRidge Canyon, and Desert Canyon Golf Club — residents have the highest quality options for golf experiences. The Grille at Eagle Mountain is the place to stop in any day for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and beverages. The Life in Balance Wellness Center at The Inn at Eagle Mountain is where you can meditate, get a massage, give your skin and nails the attention they deserve and experience the healing powers of the Four Peaks amethyst. Not only can resort guests take advantage of the extensive spa service menu, but residents can also obtain a membership that affords significant discounts to spa treatments. Don't feel like cooking tonight? Have out-of-town guests? Pietro’s features golf course and Red Mountain views with a menu focused on authentic Italian cuisine prepared to order from scratch. The restaurant opens at 5 p.m., closed Mondays. Public transportation in Fountain Hills, including the Eagle Mountain area, is minimal at best. There won't be any Valley Metro Light Rail stations here, and bus service is limited to one express bus that leaves the center part of Fountain Hills, travels to a Park 'n' Ride near Scottsdale Community College and continues to several points in Scottsdale before heading to downtown Phoenix and ultimately the Arizona State Government Complex at 17th Avenue and Jefferson. This is a weekday only service. Check the Valley Metro website to verify the service and hours of operation. For people with school-aged children, the Fountain Hills Unified School District (elementary, middle and high school) offers school bus transportation for Fountain Hills students. Naturally, because Eagle Mountain is a master-planned community within Fountain Hills, residents here will likely follow the same patterns for shopping, dining, and recreation as other Fountain Hills residents do. Most people don't play golf more than four or five times per week (ha!), and that leaves time to venture outside the "compound" of the gated communities. Eagle Mountain, being the farthest west of the Fountain Hills master-planned communities, is the closest to Scottsdale. Shea Blvd. provides the gateway to all that Scottsdale has to offer, including casual, family and upscale dining, attractions, entertainment, and shopping. The Loop 101 is about 10 miles west of Eagle Mountain. Sports fans will start on the 101 for the most convenient access to all parts of the Valley of the Sun, for: When you've had your fill of sporting events, shop and dine at Kierland Commons. You deserve some special gifts from Crate & Barrel, Sur La Table, Michael Kors and then, to keep up your shopping strength, make a casual stop at The Cheesecake Factory (so many pages to that menu!) PF Chang's or Shake Shack. If a traditional, indoor mall is more your style, Scottsdale has the most popular one in the state. Scottsdale Fashion Square is about a 30-minute drive from Fountain Hills where you'll find a combination of typical mall stores along with exclusive shops found only at this one location. After you've spent the limit on your credit card and taken your nap, clean up (grab a different credit card) and explore one of the many fine dining options in Scottsdale, like Mastro's Ocean Club, The Roaring Fork, Capital Grille, Tutti Santi, or Roka Akor. Don't pass up the flaming cocktails recommended by the Tequila Goddess at La Hacienda at the Scottsdale Princess. If brunch is on the weekend schedule, the Bottomless Brunch at SumoMaya (yes, it's Mexican/Asian) is a showstopper, but expect a wait! Many more amenities are available in nearby Scottsdale, less than five miles away to the west. The Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Fashion Square Mall, Old Town Scottsdale, and Tempe Town Lake are all between 30-40 minutes away. The Fort McDowell Casino and We-Ko-Pa Resort are also easily available to the east of Eagle Mountain. Children in the community attend McDowell Elementary (K-2nd), Four Peaks Elementary (3rd-5th), Fountain Hills Middle School (6th-8th), and Fountain Hills High School (9th-12th).More on Eagle Mountain
